Sporting KC awaits Thursday's Wild Card winner

Following the New York Red Bulls 2-0 win over FC Dallas tonight in the 2011 MLS Cup Playoffs, Sporting Kansas City will now await the winner of Thursday’s Wild Card match between the Colorado Rapids and Columbus Crew as their upcoming opponent for the Eastern Conference Semifinals. 


Regardless of opponent, Sporting Kansas City will begin the two-game, aggregate goal series on the road with the first leg at 6:00 p.m. CT on Sunday, October 30th. Sporting Kansas City will then host the second leg of the Eastern Conference Semifinals at LIVESTRONG Sporting Park on Wednesday, November 2nd at 7 p.m. CT. Both matches will be broadcast live on FOX Soccer.


Tickets for the 2011 MLS Cup playoffs at LIVESTRONG Sporting Park are currently on sale and can be purchased online at Ticketmaster, by calling 888-4KC-GOAL or by visiting the LIVESTRONG Sporting Park Box Offices.


Columbus visits Dick’s Sporting Goods Park tomorrow to take on the defending MLS Cup champion Rapids at 9 p.m. CT. The match will be streamed live on MLSSoccer.com for U.S. residents. 


With Wednesday’s win, New York advances to face the LA Galaxy in the Western Conference semifinals and FC Dallas is eliminated from the 2011 MLS Cup Playoffs.
