Sporting Kansas City’s match on Saturday, April 7th against the LA Galaxy will now kick off at 3:00 p.m. CT on ESPN at LIVESTRONG Sporting Park.

The marquee match, featuring the top teams in the Eastern and Western Conference from last season, was moved one hour earlier from the previously scheduled 4:00 p.m. CT start time to accommodate the programming move from ESPN2 to ESPN, the network’s flagship channel.

Sporting Kansas City’s home schedule features seven nationally televised matches in 2012, highlighted by the visit from the defending MLS Cup Champion LA Galaxy on April 7th.

The only regular season meeting between the LA Galaxy and Sporting Kansas City in 2012, the April 7th encounter will also be broadcast live on ESPN Deportes, ESPN Deportes Radio, ESPN Mobile TV, ESPN3 and WatchESPN and is one of 10 currently scheduled MLS regular season matches to be shown on ESPN (along with 10 additional regular season matches on ESPN2, including Sporting Kansas City’s home match against the New York Red Bulls on Sunday, August 26th).

The LA Galaxy recently announced the re-signing of Designated Player David Beckham to play alongside U.S. Men’s National Team veteran Landon Donovan and Irish star Robbie Keane, who could make his first appearance at LIVESTRONG Sporting Park after missing last season’s dramatic 2-2 draw while on international duty.

Tickets for the match can currently be acquired with the purchase of a 2012 full season ticket package. Single-match tickets will go on sale next month.
