Greg Cotton, Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel for Sporting Club, was on hand at the Sprint Festival Plaza in Union Station on Wednesday night for Ingram's magazine's 40 Under Forty cocktail and award reception. Cotton was joined by Sporting Club CEO Robb Heineman, who was a recipient of the recognition five years ago.
Cotton negotiates all major contracts and transactions for Sporting Kansas City and also handles the company's legal matters. His duties extend to LIVESTRONG Sporting Park, The Kansas City Soccer Foundation, Sporting Innovations, Blue Roof Entertainment and the Sporting Juniors Youth Development Program.
Cotton is also involved in the community, serving on the board for Providence Saint John Medical Center Foundation, the International Visitors Council of Greater Kansas City and the Kansas City Chamber of Commerce. Cotton also teachers a sports law class at UMKC's School of Law.
