Sporting KC will face Columbus for the third time this season. The two have a long history in MLS as two of the original teams from 1996. All of the stats below are for MLS regular season matches.


Head To Head


The teams have played 45 times with Columbus winning 21, Sporting winning 19, and five ending in draws. Columbus leads the series at home with 12 wins compared to KC's nine wins. There have been three draws at Columbus.


The teams have split the previous two meeting this season with KC winning 2-0 at Columbus on July 14 and the Crew sneaking out a 2-1 win at LSP on July 28.
