Soony Saad scored his third goal of the pre-season and Dom Dwyer added another as Sporting Kansas City fell 5-2 against the Columbus Crew in a pre-season scrimmage on Saturday morning at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Kissimmee, Fla. Dwyer gave Sporting Kansas City an early lead, on an assist from Saad, in the fifth minute of play but Columbus equalized three minutes later to spark a spree of four unanswered goals.

Saad, who also scored against D.C. United and FC Tucson (PDL) this pre-season, pulled a goal back in the 68th minute with a powerful shot that Crew keeper Samir Badr got his gloves to but couldn't keep out at the near post.

Saad's former University of Michigan teammate Justin Meram scored the match-winner for Columbus, while second-year striker Ben Speas added the Crew's fifth and final goal of the game in the 71st minute. Shawn Sloan, Ethan Finlay and former Sporting Kansas City midfielder Konrad Warzycha also contributed goals for the Crew.

Sporting Kansas City will conclude the group stage of the 2013 Disney Pro Soccer Classic at 7 p.m. CT tonight against the Tampa Bay Rowdies (NASL). The match will be streamed live on SportingKC.com.
