Sporting KC at SBJ Symposium

For the second straight year, a Sporting KC representative spoke at the Sports Facilities & Franchises and Ticketing Symposium. The third annual event -- organized by Streeth & Smith's SportsBusiness Journal and considered the industry's most senior meeting on ticketing and facility and franchise management --  began today at The New York Marriott at the Brooklyn Bridge.

Sporting Kansas City Executive Vice President of Communications/Digital Rob Thomson was invited to speak on "High-Stakes Team PR in the Twitter Age." Along with Major League Soccer's Executive Vice President of Communications Dan Courtemanche and fellow speaker Barry Baum (Brooklyn Nets), Thomson presented on the latest trends around Twitter and sports communication.

In 2012, Sporting Club CEO Robb Heineman and Sporting Innovations co-founder/co-CEO Asim Pasha led a discussion on the next-generation technology at Sporting Park during the event in Miami. For more from the symposium, search #sbjsff on Twitter.
