Palmer-Brown on way to Japan with US U17's

Sporting Kansas City Academy defender Erik Palmer-Brown is one of 18 players named to the U.S. Under-17 Men's National Team roster today for an international tournament in Niigata, Japan that begins on Saturday. The team departs tomorrow and will face Japan at 2 a.m. CT (4 p.m. local time) on Saturday, followed by Croatia at midnight CT (2 p.m. local time) the next day and the finale against the Niigata All-Stars at midnight (2 p.m. local time) on Monday.

Palmer-Brown is one of 12 players chosen by head coach Richie Williams who were part of the U.S. Soccer Under-17 Residency Program this past semester. The competition will be the last tournament for the current cycle of players.

A Lee's Summit, Missouri resident, Palmer-Brown most recently represented the U.S. at the Caspian Cup (Azerbaijan) in June and the Tournament Delle Nazioni (Italy) in May.
