Palmer-Brown & U17's win tourney in Japan -

Sporting Kansas City Academy defender Erik Palmer-Brown and the United States Under-17 Men's National Team won the International Tournament in Niigata, Japan this weekend with three wins in three days. The U17's opened the tournament with a 2-1 win against hosts Japan, followed by a 4-2 win against Croatia. The U.S. clinched the tourney championship with a 2-0 victory over Niigata All-Stars on goals from Andrija Novakovich and Rubio Rubin.


Palmer-Brown, 16, attended the U.S. Soccer Residency Program in Bradenton, Fla. for the Spring semester and has traveled internationally with the United States youth national teams this summer to Italy and Azerbaijan.
