Sporting Kansas City defender Matt Besler started and played 75 minutes yesterday with the
US Men’s National Team in their 5-1 quarterfinal victory over El Salvador
. The match marked Besler’s eighth cap with the U.S. MNT, who are now 5-0-2 when Besler starts, and it was his first appearance in the CONCACAF Gold Cup after joining the team last week. Check out

The U.S. Men's National Team take the field again this Wednesday to take on Honduras in the semifinals. Watch live at 6 p.m. CT on FOX Soccer, UniMas and Univision Deportes in the United States. If they are victorious, they will play the winner between Panama and Mexico, who play the second game in Wednesday's doubleheader at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas.


The United States have won the CONCACAF Gold Cup four times in tournament history with the last regional crown coming in 2007, when Sporting Kansas City midfielder Benny Feilhaber scored the game-winner in a 2-1 victory over Mexico.
