Zusi ready for "tough battle" in Costa Rica -

The United States resumes FIFA World Cup Qualifying on Friday in Costa Rica, where the U.S. is 0-7-1 all-time in World Cup qualifiers. Sporting Kansas City All-Stars Matt Besler and Graham Zusi are among the 23 players in camp under head coach Jurgen Klinsmann, who called this "the biggest game of 2013."

On Thursday, Zusi shared his thoughts ahead of the match with The MNT Blog on USSoccer.com:

On the arrival into Costa Rica:
“It was what I expected. It’s a country that is very passionate about their team. It makes it that much more exciting for us. It’s going to be a tough battle for us down here, but I think we can use our momentum and our focus to get the job done.”

On training:
“Training so far has been great. The weather was perfect for soccer. The session was very focused and specific to what we are trying to accomplish in the game as well.”

On the mood of the team:
“The mood is great. Every time we get together, we become closer as a team. We are very focused on what we need to do to accomplish our goal, which is to qualify for the World Cup.”
