U.S. Men's National Team to hold Pep Rally at Power & Light District on Oct. 10

The U.S. Men's National Team will hold a pep rally with supporters on Thursday, Oct. 10, at The Power and Light District in Kansas City, Mo., the evening before its final home FIFA World Cup Qualifier against Jamaica on Oct. 11.


The event will begin at 6 p.m. CT with live music from DJ Joc Max. A special Chalk Talk segment with ESPN commentators Ian Darke and Taylor Twellman will take place from 7-7:30 p.m., and there will be a video presentation from 7:30-8 p.m.


The Pep Rally will commence at 8 p.m. CT and feature U.S. MNT head coach Jurgen Klinsmann and select players engaging supporters during a question and answer session. 2013 National Soccer Hall of Fame inductees Joe-Max Moore and Peter Vermes will also make special appearances to interact with fans during the rally.


Admittance to the event is free for all fans, and admission is on a first-come, first-served basis.


Currently atop the CONCACAF Hexagonal standings with 16 points from its first eight games, the U.S. qualified for the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil with a 2-0 win against Mexico at Columbus Crew Stadium in Columbus, Ohio on Sept. 10. The U.S. MNT's remaining two Qualifying matches are Oct. 11 against Jamaica at Sporting Park in Kansas City, Kan., and Oct. 15 against Panama at Estadio Rommel Fernández in Panama City, Panama.
