Below are a few excerpts from this week's Power Rankings.

MLSsoccer.com (MLSsoccer Staff)

"Give 'em credit for going to Houston, being outplayed, and getting themselves a precious away point. (Yes KC fans, that was a straight-up bunker at BBVA.)"

SI.com (Avi Creditor)

"Sporting KC cemented a playoff berth with its 0-0 draw with Houston and Philadelphia's draw with D.C. ensuring a top-five place regardless of how the season ends. The Supporters' Shield is still in reach for the club, which also must focus on the CONCACAF Champions League. Sporting KC faces a group-deciding game against Olimpia sandwiched between its two final regular season games against D.C. and Philadelphia."

ESPNFC.com (Jeff Carlisle)

"If Kansas City faces Houston in the playoffs for the third year running -- which looks very possible at the moment -- they'll be more than happy to replicate Wednesday's 0-0 tie. The club would prefer to not rely on brilliant GK Jimmy Nielsen though."
