SPORTING KC HOSTS RIVAL HOUSTON DYNAMO IN EASTERN CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP

Sporting Kansas City and the Houston Dynamo played to a scoreless draw last weekend at BBVA Compass Stadium in the first leg of the Eastern Conference Championship, marking the third consecutive year these two clubs have met in the postseason.

Both teams will have the weekend off because of international competition, taking the pitch for the second leg on Nov. 23 at Sporting Park. The match will be nationally broadcast on NBC Sports Network and Univision Deportes.

Sporting Kansas City's MLS Cup aspirations were halted by the Dynamo in 2011 in the Eastern conference Final and 2012 in the Eastern Conference Semifinals. Sporting KC went unbeaten against the Dynamo in four matches in 2013 including a victory at BBVA Compass Stadium on May 12 that ended Houston's record long 36-game home unbeaten run in all competitions.

Both Sporting KC and the Houston Dynamo advanced to the Conference Championship with 4-3 victories on-aggregate in the Eastern Conference Semifinals.

The Nov. 23 match at Sporting Park sold out in less than 24 hours. A limited number of Standing Room Only tickets remain and can be purchased at Ticketmaster.com.

THE TRUCE
Sporting Club and the World War I Museum invite the Kansas City soccer community to take part in the inaugural Truce Tournament. Paired with an EPL Watch Party inside the WWI Museum, the 3v3 tournament will be played on Liberty Hill.

Kicking off in 2013, one year prior to the 100th anniversary of World War 1, The Truce Tournament is also a tribute to the time-honored story of the Christmas Truce. According to legend, the battles of WWI temporarily subsided around Christmas in 1914 and members of both warring sides ventured out to No Man's Land to exchange gifts, sing carols and play soccer.

The tournament will take place on Thursday, December 26. To register your team for the Truce Tournament, click here.

Lebanon has four points through three of the country's six game (1-1-1) in 2015 AFC Asian Cup qualifying and currently sit in third place in Group B, one point behind Kuwait and three points back of group leaders Iran.
