CONCACAF announces broadcast schedule for CCL quarterfinals

CONCACAF announced on Thursday the broadcast schedule for the 2013-14 CONCACAF Champions League quarterfinal matchups. The schedule includes both games that Sporting KC will play against current Liga MX Clausura leaders Cruz Azul FC.


Sporting KC's home match vs. Cruz Azul on March 12 will air on FOX Sports 2 (English) and Univision Deportes Network (Spanish) in the United States and FOX Sports in Mexico. That game can also be heard locally on ESPN 102.9 with Callum Williams and Jake Gutierrez on the call. Following the match, ESPN 102.9 will air The Final Whistle with Andy Edwards and Dave Borchardt.


Limited tickets are available for the first leg of the quarterfinal series and can be purchased at SportingKC.com/Tickets.


Sporting KC's decisive second leg at Cruz Azul on March 19 will air on FOX Sports 2 (English) and Galavision (Spanish) in the United States and FOX Sports in Mexico.


Cruz Azul is currently undefeated through the first nine weeks of the Clausura, six points ahead of Deportivo Toluca FC. La Maquina will travel to Monterrey this weekend to take on Tigres, their final game before the Champions League resumes next week.


The winner of Sporting KC's series vs. Cruz Azul will face the winner of the LA Galaxy / Club Tijuana series in the semifinals.
