The reigning MLS Cup champions face Red Nova Labs, a Kansas City, Kan. based company that has become a major player in the self storage industry and now provides services for more than 5,000 facilities nationwide since its founding in 2009, after RNL bested The Roasterie in the Fightin' Four.

The competition started with 64 local businesses divided into four quadrants of entrepreneurship: Established & Growing (Sporting KC), Microenterprise (FireBug BBQ), Bricks & Mortar (The Roasterie) and Tech/Innovation led (Red Nova Labs). KCSourceLink -- launched in 2003 as part of a U.S.SourceLink network developed through support from the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, the U.S. Small Business Administration and the University of Missouri-Kansas City -- has hosted the contest each of the last three years with previous winners including Shatto Milk Company (2012) and Morgan Miller Plumbing (2013).
