UPDATE: Sporting Kansas City midfielder Mikey Lopez will not re-join OKC Energy FC on loan at this time due to the USL PRO Roster Freeze. The USL PRO Roster Freeze prevents teams from signing, trading or receiving loan players after the deadline (4 p.m. CT on Tuesday, Aug. 19).

Sporting Kansas City announced on Thursday that midfielder Christian Duke has re-joined USL PRO affiliate OKC Energy FC with four games remaining in their regular season:

Aug. 22 at Arizona United SC
Aug. 24 vs. Charleston Battery
Sept. 4 at Sacramento Republic FC
Sept. 6 at Orange County Blues FC

Duke, 23, has appeared in nine USL PRO matches this season with three assists and has recently recovered from a stress fracture that has kept him out of action since June 14. In 2013, the Overland Park, Kansas native spent a successful first professional season with league champions Orlando City SC and was named the team's top rookie with one goal and one assist in 22 games.

Duke joins Sporting Kansas City's Jimmy Medranda on loan with OKC Energy FC. Led by head coach Jimmy Nielsen, OKC Energy FC currently occupies the final playoff position in eighth place during their inaugural season in the 14-team USL PRO.
