  • Sporting Kansas City and the Portland Timbers played to a 0-0 draw at Sporting Park on Saturday. 
  • Right back Jalil Anibaba made his Sporting KC debut. Anibaba appeared in 112 regular season games for Chicago and Seattle before coming to KC prior to the 2015 season. 
  • Matt Besler returned to the lineup for his 183rd Sporting KC match in all competitions, tied for 8th all-time with Matt McKeon.
  • Besler also passed Jack Jewsbury on Saturday for seventh all-time in regular season minutes played with 13,276.
  • Dom Dwyer made his 50th career start for Sporting KC in all competitions. 
  • Jimmy Medranda made the second MLS start of his career on Saturday and first since March 2014.
