#SportingElf: December 2

Elf2

Yesterday #SportingElf visited Sporting KC and made it clear that he would be here throughout December to remind us of some major events from 2015. The #SportingElf came back again today and was wearing a Roger Espinoza jersey that he must have had shipped to the North Pole from SportingStyle.com on Cyber Monday.

In January of 2015, Espinoza signed with Sporting KC after spending two years abroad with Wigan Athletic (2013-14) in England. But Espinoza started his career in Kansas City (2008-2012) where he was an MLS All-Star and helped lead the club to the 2012 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup championship.

Espinoza was a fan favorite when he first arrived to Kansas City in 2008 and bringing him back to KC got #SKCNation pumped.

Espinoza started 17 games for Sporting Kansas City in 2015 before a Nathan Sturgis tackle ended his season in August. SportingKC.com highlighted Espinoza's key role in Sporting KC's success this season as the Honduran international continues his recovery in preparation for 2016!
