VOTE: Kris Tyrpak nominated for USL Goal of the Month

Swope Park Rangers forward Kris Tyrpak has been nominated for USL Goal of the Month after his stunning strike in SPR's 3-0 victory over Tulsa Roughnecks FC on Sept. 10. Voting will remain open through 8 a.m. CT on Monday, Oct. 10.

Tyrpak, 24, has made 29 appearances for the Rangers in regular and postseason play, scoring eight goals and adding one assist. In Friday's Western Conference Quarterfinal against LA Galaxy II, Tyrpak headed home the game-winning goal in the 76th minute to help his side advance to Sunday's Conference Semifinal showdown with Orange County Blues FC.

Tyrpak has made one appearance for Sporting KC in the Scotiabank CONCACAF Champions League, coming off the bench at halftime of the 2-1 defeat to Vancouver Whitecaps FC at Children's Mercy Park on Sept. 13.

The Rangers continue their quest for the USL Cup with a Western Conference Semifinal against Orange County Blues FC at Swope Soccer Village this Sunday, Oct. 9. Kickoff is set for 3 p.m. CT with tickets available via Ticketmaster while the game will be live streamed on SportingKC.com.
