Injury Report is SportingKC.com’s look at the latest injury news ahead of upcoming matches and is presented by The Center for Sports Medicine at Children's Mercy.
Sporting Kansas City defender Ike Opara has been upgraded to questionable ahead of tonight’s match with the Chicago Fire at Children’s Mercy Park.
Opara is the only name on the club’s injury report for the second straight week, having missed last Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Real Salt Lake after suffering a concussion against FC Dallas in the U.S. Open Cup Quarterfinals on July 11.
The Fire travel to Kansas City with three players on their injury report, as goalkeeper Jorge Bava (elbow tendinitis), defender Brandon Vincent (quad) and midfielder Josh Goosens (ankle) are all listed as out for tonight’s game.
Kickoff from Children’s Mercy Park is set for 7 p.m. CT tonight on FOX Sports Kansas City Plus and FOX Sports Midwest Plus, while Sports Radio 810 WHB (English) and La Grande 1340 AM (Spanish) will have the call on the radio. Tickets are available via SeatGeek.com.
