Sporting Kansas City is preparing to host high-scoring expansion side Atlanta United FC tonight at Children’s Mercy Park with one name on the club’s injury report.
Cameron Porter went down early this week in training and suffered a broken fibula, ruling the forward out for the remainder of the season.
Atlanta travels to Kansas City with several injury concerns, as strikers Josef Martinez (foot injury) and Kenwyne Jones (knee swelling) are both out for tonight’s match. In addition, former Sporting KC goalkeeper Alec Kann remains sidelined with a quad injury while defender Mark Bloom is also out with a back issue.
Kickoff for tonight’s clash is set for 7 p.m. CT, with tickets available via SeatGeek.com. The match will be televised nationally on FOX Sports 1 and FOX Deportes, while Sports Radio 810 WHB (English) and La Grande 1340 AM (Spanish) will have the call on the radio.
