Injury Report new DL - Children's Mercy

Injury Report is SportingKC.com’s look at the latest injury news ahead of upcoming matches and is presented by The Sports Medicine Center at Children's Mercy.

Sporting Kansas City is set to square off against Columbus Crew SC for the first and only time this season at midday, and the club has no additions to its injury report. Striker Cameron Porter remains out as he nurses a broken fibula that will see him miss the remainder of the season.

Columbus is dealing with two season-ending injuries of their own, as Gaston Sauro underwent multiple knee surgeries in the offseason and Ben Swanson had surgery on his right ankle in April.

Also listed on Crew SC’s injury report is star forward Ola Kamara, who is questionable with a lower leg contusion. He’s joined in that category by Niko Hansen, Artur and Waylon Francis, all of whom are dealing with thigh strains.

Kickoff from MAPFRE Stadium in Columbus is set for 12 p.m. CT with the game broadcast nationally on ESPN and ESPN Deportes, while ESPN 99.3 FM (English) and La Grande 1340 AM (Spanish) will have the call locally on the radio.
