A major announcement regarding the future of soccer in Nashville will take place Wednesday at 4 p.m. CT at the Country Music Hall of Fame.

MLS commissioner Don Garber will join John R. Ingram of Nashville Soccer Holdings LLC, Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam, and Nashville Mayor Megan Barry to speak at the event. ESPN soccer commentator Taylor Twellman will be the emcee.

Nashville is one of 12 cities that submitted a formal bid in January for one of Major League Soccer's four expansion slots. The city was one of four finalists to present before the MLS Expansion Committee on Dec. 6.
