Sporting Kansas City enters tonight’s match against Atlanta United FC at Mercedes-Benz Stadium with just Felipe Gutierrez (sports hernia) on the club’s injury report.
Gerso Fernandes made his return from a thigh contusion as a late substitute in Saturday’s 1-0 victory over the Colorado Rapids, while Adrian Zendejas is also fit again after a head injury.
For tonight’s hosts, three players are listed as out – including former Sporting KC goalkeeper Alec Kann who has a knee injury. Also listed as out is defender Jose Hernandez (quad strain) and goalkeeper Mitch Hildebrandt (knee sprain).
Right back Franco Escobar, who started Atlanta’s 2-1 win over the Chicago Fire on Saturday, is questionable with a thorax injury.
