National TV: #SKCvMIN highlights Week 14 slate in MLS

For the second straight Sunday, a Sporting Kansas City home match highlights a slam-packed weekend in Major League Soccer.

The Western Conference leaders (7-2-4, 25 points) will host Minnesota United FC (5-7-1, 16 points) at 7:30 p.m. CT Sunday on FS1. Tickets for the Local Night showdown are available via SeatGeek.com or by calling 888-4KC-GOAL to purchase the Coca-Cola Sunday Family Four Pack, consisting of four tickets, four Coke products, four hot dogs and four bags of chips.

In addition to airing live on FS1, Sunday's game will be broadcast locally on ESPN 94.5 FM (English) and ESPN Deportes KC 1480 AM (Spanish). Sporting KC and Minnesota are meeting for the second time in three weeks, having battled to a 1-1 draw on May 20 in Minneapolis. The Loons endured two miserable visits to Children's Mercy Park in 2017, losing 3-0 on June 3 — exactly one year ago on Sunday — before falling 4-0 in the U.S. Open Cup on June 14.

The contest between Sporting KC and Minnesota will draw curtains on a Week 14 slate that includes one other nationally televised match. At 4 p.m. CT Saturday, the red-hot Portland Timbers (6-3-2) put a six-game winning streak on the line against Zlatan Ibrahimovic and the LA Galaxy (5-7-1, 16 points) at Providence Park. The Galaxy will be just three days removed from a 3-2 defeat to FC Dallas at StubHub Center, their league-worst fourth home loss of the season.
