Sporting Kansas City heads into tonight’s match against Minnesota United FC at Children’s Mercy Park with five players on the club’s official injury report.
Jimmy Medranda is downgraded to out ahead of the game, having missed last weekend’s draw with Columbus Crew SC, and is joined in that category by Felipe Gutierrez who is still recovering from surgery on a sports hernia.
Forward Diego Rubio, who also missed the Columbus match with a back injury, remains questionable, while Khiry Shelton and Brad Evans are also both questionable with thigh injuries.
Minnesota United comes to Kansas City with six players listed on their injury report. Goalkeeper Matt Lampson is the only player listed as questionable with a knee concern, while Sam Cronin (head), Ethan Finlay (ACL), Marc Burch (knee), Kevin Molino (ACL) and Jerome Thiesson (leg) are all out for the match.
Kickoff for tonight’s nationally televised showdown is set for 7:30 p.m. CT on FOX Sports 1, while ESPN 94.5 FM (English) and ESPN Deportes 1480 AM (Spanish) will carry the game locally on the radio.
