Sergeant Josh Woolridge

Sergeant Josh Woolridge is an eight-year veteran of the United States Marines. His deployments include Fallujah and Ramadi in Iraq, with his most recent deployment being to Helmand Province in Afghanistan in 2011 in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. In addition to two Combat Action Ribbons, Sgt. Woolridge was awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal with a Combat for Valor in 2011. While leading a convoy across open desert terrain, they came under enemy fire, with one of his men being struck in the leg. Sgt. Woolridge directed a rescue operation while under continued fire, with his quick and decisive action enabling the evacuation from the combat zone to a surgical unit in only 37 minutes. The speed of the evacuation allowed the injured marine to maintain use of his leg. He graduated from Park University in May 2016, earning a Bachelor of Business Administration/Logistics degree with Magna Cum Laude distinction.
