Sporting Kansas City announced today the addition of Amazon’s Just Walk Out technology to the team’s largest SportingStyle retail store -- located near section 131 on the east side of Children’s Mercy Park -- to further enhance the fan experience on home matchdays.

Fans will be able to take advantage of the frictionless shopping technology – which allows shoppers to enter the store, grab any apparel and return to their seats without having to wait in a checkout line -- for the first time this Saturday when Sporting Kansas City hosts the Houston Dynamo. Kickoff is at 7:40 p.m. CT and tickets are available online at SeatGeek, including the Sporting U Pass offering $15 tickets for college students.

With Amazon’s Just Walk Out technology, fans will be able to spend less time checking out and more time enjoying their matchday at Children’s Mercy Park – one of only three MLS stadiums to introduce the functionality. The technology is engineered for the future of shopping by using Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) which allows fans to pick up SportingStyle items – each featuring a unique RFID tag which is identified by RFID readers in the exit area – and tap their credit or debit card at the exit gate. Customers can then access their receipt online at justwalkout.com/receipts.

Sporting KC Season Ticket Members receive a 15% off discount on all SportingStyle purchases, as well as food and beverage orders, at Children’s Mercy Park and will continue to enjoy this exclusive benefit with Amazon’s Just Walk Out technology. Season Ticket Members can receive their discount by showing a SportingStyle associate their digital STM card via the Sporting KC App to receive a physical card that will automatically apply the discount.

Children’s Mercy Park, which was selected to host a CONMEBOL Copa America USA 2024 match between Canada and Peru in June, continues to add new enhancements and upgrades for guests since opening in 2011. Earlier this year, the world-class venue unveiled state-of-the-art Musco LED sports lighting and Daktronics LED displays as well as Evolv Technology’s cutting-edge guest screening and Drink Command’s Self-Serve Technology.
