Academy player Dominik Baczewski joins Poland for UEFA U-15 International Development Tournament

Sporting Kansas City Academy player Dominik Baczewski will join the Poland U-15 Boys' National Team for the UEFA U-15 International Development Tournament from Sept. 11-17 in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Baczewski and the Poland U-15s will play three matches in the elite youth competition, facing Andorra on Sept. 12, Hungary on Sept. 14 and hosts Bosnia and Herzegovina on Sept. 17. Baczewski's trip will run from Sept. 9-20 as he gains international experience against premier opposition in Europe.

  • Monday, Sept. 12: Poland U-15s vs. Andorra U-15s
  • Wednesday, Sept. 14: Poland U-15s vs. Hungary U-15s
  • Saturday, Sept. 17: Poland U-15s vs. Bosnia and Herzegovina U-15s

Born in June 2008 and raised in Northbrook, Illinois, Baczewski joined the Sporting Kansas City Academy on a part-time basis in 2019 and became a full-time player for the club earlier this month. Prior to competing for Sporting, he was a member of the Chicago Fire FC Academy in his home state.

Under the guidance of newly appointed Academy Director Declan Jogi, the Sporting Kansas City Academy will kick off the 2022-23 MLS NEXT season in September as six teams from U-12 to U-19 square off against other MLS academies from across the country.
