UPDATE: Sporting KC went unbeaten at the U.S. Soccer Development Academy Showcase, concluding their three-game run with a 3-0 win over the Vancouver Whitecaps on Thursday. JoJo Piatczyc scored twice and Cole Stevenson also struck to give both players three goals at the Showcase. Ryan Krutz earned the shutout in net for Sporting KC.
UPDATE: In their second game at the USSDA Showcase, Sporting KC's Academy prevailed 3-2 over Shattuck Saint Mary's (Minnesota) on Wedneesday with goals from JoJo Piatczyc, Cole Stevenson and Heath Honold. Stevenson's goal is his second of the Showcase and Sporting KC will next face the Vancouver Whitecaps at 1 p.m. CT on Thursday.
UPDATE: Sporting KC's Academy, coached by the John Pascarella, tied Kendall SC 1-1 on Monday courtesy of a goal from Cole Stevenson on an assist by Heath Honold. Stevenson now has 10 goals in U.S. Soccer Development Academy competition during the 2012-13 season, tying him with Logan Lucas for the team lead. The Sporting KC Academy will return to action on Wednesday at 7 p.m. CT against Shattuck St. Mary's from Minnesota.

The Sporting Kansas City Academy will play at the 2012-13 U.S. Soccer Development Academy Showcase at 7 p.m. CT tonight. Sporting KC will face Kendall SC from Miami at FC Dallas Sports Park in Frisco, Texas.


In addition to the action on the field, the 2012-13 Development Academy Playoffs and Showcase will also feature educational events for coaches, including a futsal presentation by National Team Coach Keith Tozer.
