Alekzandur returns as Sporting Kansas City’s eMLS player for the 2021 season

Sporting Kansas City announced today that FIFA star Alekzandur will return to represent the club for the 2021 eMLS campaign.

Alekzandur, a 21-year-old native of Kansas City, Kansas, will enter his third season as Sporting’s eMLS player. After representing Sporting on the eMLS circuit in 2018 and 2020, the talented FIFA competitor is poised for a momentous 2021 season highlighted by several marquee events and a new online format.

As one of the best FIFA players in the world, Alekzandur racked up multiple FIFA 20 friendly victories over other eMLS competitors in the leadup to the eMLS Tournament Special last April and May, where he teamed up with former Sporting Kansas City midfielder Wan Kuzain in a historic FIFA 20 competition that was broadcast nationally on FS1. Alekzandur and Kuzain earned a second-place finish at the tournament, winning their group and defeating LAFC’s Adama Diomande and RemiMartinn in the championship semifinals.

Alekzandur booked a spot at the 2020 eMLS Cup in June by virtue of his strong performances in eMLS League Series One and Two earlier in the year. He was among the final 12 contenders in the eMLS Cup before narrowly falling to eventual champion Adamou of the New York Red Bulls and finishing in ninth place overall.

In addition to following Alekzandur on Twitter at @Alekzandur, Sporting fans can follow the @sportinggaming Twitter account for the latest eMLS news and updates in 2021.

More information about the highly anticipated 2021 eMLS season will be announced in the coming days.
