Vermes shared his thoughts on the team's recent seven-game unbeaten run, as well as recent additions to his technical staff and the upcoming match against St. Louis FC in the 2015 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup. Listen to the full show embedded below, highlighted by these comments from Vermes:

We have a lot of young guys that are getting experience and performing well. They're getting a good taste of what it's like to play in some big games and at the same time find results. I think we're getting better defensively. I think Tim (Melia) is finding a real form in goal. At the same time, I think we have found a way to get on the scoresheet quite often as a team. I think that is a strong point no matter how you look at it.
We're very interested in the trophy of the U.S. Open Cup. It's another competition that is extremly important to us and it gives us the opportunity to win something. As much as we won in 2012, we haven't gone far enough the last two years. It's time for us to make a good run at this thing. We're going to do the best we can in that game in making sure that we put a team out there that is going to be very competitive and that helps us get the result. We know that when teams come to play us -- whether it's in regular season or Open Cup -- they're coming into an environment that is very exciting and it's not hard for teams to get up to play us. So we're going to have to be on our best game to make sure that we can get a result.
