Sporting Kansas City and Sporting Club Special Events, in conjunction with Brooks Reynolds of Blue Ribbon Bacon Fest, announced today a one-of-a-kind bacon festival coming to Kansas City on Saturday, October 8 at Children’s Mercy Park.

The first-ever BaKCon Fest will be held inside the world-class home of Sporting Kansas City. The festival will feature samples of bacon and bacon-themed menu items, as well as a bacon eating contest, beer garden, live entertainment, children's play area and much more.

Tickets are on sale online at with three experiences (basic, pro and premium) available in addition to a BaKCon Brews add on option for attendees. Early premium access to the event will start at 10 a.m. on Saturday, October 8 followed by entry for all ticket holders beginning at 11 a.m.
