Sporting KC forward Daniel Salloi is in the midst of a career year, placing himself firmly into the MLS MVP conversation after tallying 13 goals and six assists so far in the 2021 season. Fresh off scoring his 13th goal of the campaign in the 4-0 victory over Minnesota United FC last Wednesday, Salloi joined Rob Brenton from 610 Sports Radio to discuss a range of topics on The Nutmeg Podcast.

Salloi now has 36 goals and 16 assists across 130 appearances for the club in all competitions since signing as a Homegrown player out of the Sporting KC Academy in 2016. Salloi's production in 2021 earned him a spot on the MLS All-Star Team that defeated the Liga MX All-Stars in a penalty shootout in late August, with the Hungarian sinking his spot-kick in the shootout.

Sporting KC are back in action this Sunday in what could be considered the biggest regular-season match the team has played since Decision Day in 2018. First-place Sporting are set to host second-place Seattle Sounders FC at Children's Mercy Park at 6 p.m. CT on Sunday night, with the Sounders one point back of SKC with a game in hand. The match will be nationally televised on FS1 and FOX Deportes, while ESPN 94.5 FM and La Grande 1340 AM will carry the game locally on the radio. Tickets are available via SeatGeek.com.
