  • Sporting Kansas City defeated the Vancouver Whitecaps 4-3 on Saturday in a thrilling come-from-behind victory at Sporting Park.
  • With the win, Sporting KC moved into third place in the Western Conference with 40 points and four games in hand on the LA Galaxy, who currently lead the Western Conference with 43 points.
  • Manager Peter Vermes made two changes to the Sporting Kansas City starting lineup that beat Real Salt Lake on Wednesday: Jimmy Medranda and Connor Hallisey replaced Amadou Dia and Jacob Peterson.
  • With the win, Peter Vermes has the most MLS regular season wins in club history, breaking a tie with Bob Gansler, and the eighth most in League history.
