Sporting Kansas City midfielder Gadi Kinda was selected to the MLS Team of the Matchday presented by Audi on Monday for Matchday 32 of the 2023 MLS regular season.

The 29-year-old Israeli International came off the bench to score the game-winning goal in Sporting's 1-0 road win at Minnesota United FC on Saturday to earn Team of the Matchday honors for a third time this year after missing all of last season due to injury.

Kinda conjured the decisive goal in the 84th minute, settling a long diagonal pass from fellow substitute Roger Espinoza before cutting centrally and slotting home to give Sporting three precious points in the club’s postseason push. Kinda now has 15 goals and 17 assists for Sporting KC across all competitions since joining the team in 2020.

"I think we made some good changes into the team that kind of gave the team a little bit of a spark and they were hungry," Manager Peter Vermes told media in the post-match press conference. "Roger plays a really good ball to Gadi and Gadi does a really calm movement in the box and finishes it off well. I would say this is a mature performance by us. It's really nice to see, with all the different ups and downs that we've had over the season and at a time when we needed a mature performance, guys executed on it."

Sporting Kansas City is now within one point of playoff position as the club returns home to host two marquee matches this week at Children's Mercy Park. Sporting will welcome Leagues Cup finalists Nashville SC at 7:30 p.m. CT on Wednesday before taking on U.S. Open Cup finalists Houston Dynamo FC at 7:30 p.m. CT on Saturday.

Tickets are available online at SeatGeek and both fixtures will be broadcast live on Apple TV in English and Spanish via MLS Season Pass with the mid-week match available exclusively for subscribers snd Saturday's showdown available free for all fans. Local radio coverage will air on Sports Radio 810 WHB as well as La Grande 1340 AM with streams in the Sporting KC app, while pub partners in the Sporting Pub Network will also show all of the action.
