GAME NOTES: Sporting KC at Chicago Fire

Sporting Kansas City will travel to Chicago on Friday ahead of their second match of the 2011 season at 3 p.m. CT on Saturday against the Fire. The game will be televised nationally on TeleFutura and locally on KSMO-TV as the Eastern Conference rivals meet for the first of two home openers in the series this season. Toyota Park will host its first match of the year on Saturday after the Fire began 2011 with a 1-1 draw at Dallas last weekend, while LIVESTRONG Sporting Park will officially open on June 9th when Sporting Kansas City and the Fire finish the season series in the highly anticipated first match in the state-of-the-art, $200 million venue.

More than 300 Sporting Kansas City supporters are travelling to Chicago to support the club on the road, while the KC Cauldron will again be hosting a watch party for fans in the KC area.
