Gerso, Salloi and Zusi to give social commentary during Saturday re-air of Sporting's epic 2018 win over Chicago

Player Commentary - Gerso Fernandes, Daniel Salloi and Graham Zusi

Last weekend, Sporting Kansas City trio Matt Besler, Roger Espinoza and Johnny Russell joined club commentator Nate Bukaty for an insightful breakdown of the 4-0 victory over rivals Houston Dynamo from March 7 at Children's Mercy Park.

This time around, Gerso Fernandes, Daniel Salloi and Graham Zusi will have their turn.

At 6 and 8 p.m. CT on Saturday, FOX Sports Kansas City will re-air Sporting's epic 4-3 road win against the Chicago Fire from March 10, 2018.

As the match unfolds, Sporting fans will have the unique opportunity to enjoy a second-screen bonus experience on Sporting's TwitterFacebookYouTube and Twitch platforms as well as SportingKC.com/live. Beginning at 6 p.m. CT, Gerso, Salloi and Zusi will team up with Bukaty to provide player commentary throughout the contest.

Sporting's first triumph of the 2018 campaign was an instant classic, played before a late-winter crowd at Toyota Park. Newcomers Felipe Gutierrez and Johnny Russell gave the visitors at 2-0 halftime advantage, but Chicago staged a fierce fightback with three consecutive goals, two of which from prolific striker Nemanja Nikolic.

However, Manager Peter Vermes' men had the last laugh. Gerso came off the bench to give Sporting a spark, Zusi was highly involved on the right flank, and Salloi notched two assists, including the 86th-minute game-winner to Gutierrez. Sporting emerged victorious to kickstart what became a banner season that resulted in a first-place finish in the Western Conference.
