Graham Zusi's outside-the-box match-winner one of four finalists for MLS Goal of the Week

Sporting Kansas City defender Graham Zusi is one of four nominees for AT&T MLS Goal of the Week for his match-winning, outside-the-box blast in Sunday evening’s 2-1 Sporting KC win over Nashville SC away from home.

Zusi's left-footed strike over the out-stretched hands of Joe Willis is up against goals from the New York Red Bulls' Luquinhas, Vancouver Whitecaps' Deiber Caicedo and New England Revolution's Carlos Gil. Fans can cast their vote in the Twitter poll below between now and Friday.

Zusi's first goal of the season proved to be the difference-maker on Sunday. At the time, his off-foot upper-90 goal doubled Sporting's lead, but a Randall Leal goal cut the Nashville deficit in half. Nevertheless, Sporting resiliently outlasted the hosts, handing them their first home defeat in two years by snapping a 25-match home unbeaten streak.

The goal and Zusi's efforts in the match earned him a nod to the MLS Team of the Week presented by Audi in Week 15 as well. With his long-range banger, Zusi now has 10 goals from beyond the 18, the second-most by a Sporting player in the Opta era (2010-present).

Sporting KC will be back in action on Wednesday night in the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup Quarterfinal against USL League One's Union Omaha. Tickets are on sale at SeatGeek.com and first kick is set for 7:30 p.m. CT.
