Graham Zusi's brilliant strike vs Columbus nominated for MLS Goal of the Week

GotW - August 24, 2015

Graham Zusi showed little signs of rust in his first start since Aug. 1, scoring his second goal of the regular season in a 3-2 loss at the Columbus Crew on Saturday.

With the match tied 1-1 in the 62nd minute, Zusi put Sporting KC back on top with a touch of brilliance. After receiving a pass from Matt Besler, Zusi dribbled into the 18 yard box and curled a right-footed shot inside the far post and past the diving goalkeeper.

Zusi's goal -- the 24th of his regular season career -- makes him one of five players nominated for MLS Goal of the Week, alongside Sebastian Giovinco (Toronto FC), Kwadwo Poku (New York City FC), Cristian Techera (Vancouver Whitecaps FC) and Chris Wondolowski (San Jose Earthquakes). Voting is available at MLSsoccer.com here and will remain open through Friday morning at 1:59 a.m. CT.
