Sporting Kansas City defender Ike Opara has been named to MLS Team of the Week for his performance against Real Salt Lake last Saturday. Opara played 90 minutes, won four of five aerial duels, led the team with eight clearances and 10 interceptions, and scored the game-winning goal in stoppage time. Along with MLSSoccer.com, Opara has been named to the Team of the Week for Soccer By Ives and SI.com.
