Inclement weather postpones tonight's match between Sporting KC and Colorado Rapids

Tonight's MLS regular season match between Sporting Kansas City and the Colorado Rapids at Sporting Park was postponed due to inclement weather. The match, originally scheduled to kick off at 7:38 p.m. CT, did not begin and will be played in its entirety at Sporting Park.


The match will be rescheduled for a later date, to be determined in the near term. All previously purchased tickets will be honored for the rescheduled match. Ticket holders may contact Sporting Kansas City by phone at 888-4KC-GOAL.


Tonight's match is the second of the 2015 MLS season to be postponed due to weather conditions. The Philadelphia Union's home match against FC Dallas in March was postponed after a winter weather advisory was issued for the areas around PPL Park in Chester, Pennsylvania.


Finally, please note that the Special Olympics unified soccer exchange game between Special Olympics Colorado and Special Olympics Kansas will be played at 8 a.m. CT tomorrow (Sunday, May 17) at Swope Soccer Village (6310 Lewis Rd.) in Kansas City, Missouri. For more information, click here.
