Injury Report new DL - Children's Mercy

Injury Report is SportingKC.com’s look at the latest injury news ahead of upcoming matches and is presented by The Center for Sports Medicine at Children's Mercy.

Sporting Kansas City enters tonight’s clash with the Montreal Impact with five names on the club’s injury report.

Erik Palmer-Brown, who returned from captaining the U.S. Under-20 National Team at the FIFA U-20 World Cup this week, is the only player listed as out with a thigh injury.

There is one notable inclusion in the questionable category, as forward Diego Rubio is upgraded from out for the first time this season after suffering a torn ACL at the tail end of the 2016 season.

Also upgraded after being listed as out last week against Minnesota is defender Kevin Ellis (quad strain), while Latif Blessing (hip) and Roger Espinoza (lower back) are also questionable for tonight’s match.

The Montreal Impact have just one name on their injury report with forward Matteo Mancosu out with a thigh injury.

Kickoff for tonight’s game at Children’s Mercy Park is set for 7 p.m. CT on FOX Sports Kansas City, FOX Sports Midwest, Sports Radio 810 WHB (English) and La Grande 1340 AM (Spanish).
