Injury Report: Sporting KC healthy ahead of battle with New York Red Bulls

For the fourth straight game, Sporting Kansas City enters a match without any fresh injury concerns. Forward Diego Rubio, recovering from a torn ACL, remains the only name on the team’s injury report.

The New York Red Bulls, on the other hand, list four players on their injury report. Center back Gideon Baah is out with a season-ending leg injury, while winger Mike Grella is also set to miss tonight’s game with a knee injury.

Former Sporting KC central defender Aurelien Collin is doubtful, meaning fans at Children’s Mercy Park may miss out on the chance to welcome back a stalwart from the 2013 MLS Cup-winning campaign. Collin is yet to return to Kansas City since moving to Orlando at the start of the 2015 season and subsequently the Red Bulls in 2016.

Another ex-Sporting KC defender is listed as probable in Sal Zizzo, who made 19 regular-season appearances for Peter Vermes’ side during the 2014 season, adding three assists.

Kickoff tonight from Children’s Mercy Park is set for 7:30 p.m. CT, with the game broadcast on FOX Sports Kansas City + and the FOX Sports GO app. Fans can also listen to the action live on Sports Radio 810 WHB (English) and La Grande 1340 AM (Spanish).
