Difference between last year's postseason squad and this year's

"Hopefully we have the playoff experience. We learned a lot from the last two years, where we got knocked out a little too early, in my opinion. We were up against a very smart Houston team. I think lately, we have showed some very good playoff form. We probably haven't played the prettiest soccer, but we are getting results, which is what matters when you get to the playoffs.

On the home-field advantage at Sporting Park

"It's extremely loud out there at Sporting Park. It's a very intesnse stadium. The fans are very close to the field. They are our 12th man. When we score a goal on the field, they carry us on and do a hell of a good job."

Sporting KC will begin their 2013 playoff campaign, presented by Ivy Funds, on Saturday when they travel north to take on the New England Revolution. The two teams will then square off at Sporting Park in the secong leg on Wednesday, November 6. Tickets are on available and can be purchased at Ticketmaster.com.
