As a part of Jersey Week, Major League Soccer revealed the top 25 selling jerseys for the 2022 season on Monday. For the third year in a row, Sporting Kansas City Captain Johnny Russell cracks the top 25, as one of the league's top-selling jerseys. The rankings are based on overall retail sales of adidas MLS jerseys on MLSstore.com since the beginning of the 2022 season through Sept. 1.

This year, a record-setting 15 MLS clubs are represented as players from 16 different countries make the list. Russell is the lone Scotsman to make the top 25 this year and has the most goals of any Scottish-born player in MLS with 49 goals in MLS competitions.

In the 2022 campaign, Russell leads Sporting in goals, having found the back of the net 10 times in all competitions. His 79 goal contributions (48 goals, 31 assists) in the regular season are fourth-most in club history and the third most in the league since the start of 2018.

Sporting KC and Russell return to Children's Mercy Park for three consecutive matches, starting on Tuesday against D.C. United and wrapping up with the home finale on Oct. 2 against the Seattle Sounders. Tickets for all three of Sporting's final home matches in 2022 are on sale at SeatGeek.com.
