* U-18s Come Back to Win At Home* U-16s Earn Two 1-0 Victories* U-14s Victorious against Manitoba ODP Team* Upcoming GamesAll three KCW Juniors teams were in action over the past two weeks, with the U-16 and U-18 teams continuing their U.S. Soccer Development Academy schedule with wins against league-leading Real Colorado at the Wizards’ Swope Park Training Facility on Saturday. The U-16s also came out with a victory the previous day against a Canadian-based ODP team, along with the U-14s who won as well.U-18s COME BACK TO WIN AT HOMEThe U-18s got off to a hot start in their match against Real Colorado, with midfielder Patrick Foglio hitting the post with an effort early on. However, Real Colorado would catch the Wizards on the break 30 minutes into the game and the Juniors went into halftime down 1-0.

The Juniors came out strong again in the second half, with midfielder Brandon Fricke leveling the score with a header just two minutes after the interval. Mbulunji Mhango had an instant impact as a 68th minute substitute, putting the Wizards ahead with a goal off his first touch of the game in the 69th. Midfielder Nick Golden put the result beyond doubt with 5 minutes left, blasting a shot into the upper corner of the Real Colorado goal to seal a 3-1 win.

U-16s EARN TWO 1-0 VICTORIESThe U-16s began their match with some difficulties, as the team had trouble finding their rhythm and withstood a barrage of attacks from Real Colorado in the opening 15 minutes.  However, the Juniors quickly settled down and got a few good saves from goalkeeper Jonathan Kempin to keep the score level at zero going into halftime. The second half went much better for the Juniors, as the team looked more dangerous in the offensive third, turning up the heat even more with the introductions of defender Andrew Brown, midfielder Taylor Walter and forward Eric Moore midway through the half. Two of the substitutes would combine to create the winning goal, as Brown got on the end of a good service from Walter with 13 minutes left. Brown’s first attempt was saved, but the defender was still there to finish the rebound to bring the game to its final score of 1-0.The U-16s were also in action the previous Thursday, when they played an ODP team from Manitoba Canada. The first half saw Kempin come up big again for the Juniors, saving a penalty kick to keep the score level. The Juniors would grab the lead in the second half off a goal from defender Romeo Munoz, and would hold strong to finish with a 1-0 victory.U-14s VICTORIOUS AGAINST MANITOBA ODP TEAMThe U-14s were also in action against the ODP team from Manitoba on Thursday, and pulled out the same result with a 1-0 win. The result is impressive for the Juniors, as they played Manitoba’s U-15 team, who were all a bit bigger and stronger than the Juniors squad. However, Jogo Piatczyc came up big for Daouda Kante’s team, scoring a goal off a free kick midway though the 2nd half.UPCOMING GAMES
