Kickoff time moved to 8:30 p.m. CT on Saturday for Sporting KC’s road match at Austin FC

Major League Soccer announced today a new time for Sporting Kansas City’s regular season away match at Austin FC on Saturday. The Western Conference match-up, originally scheduled for 7:30 p.m. CT at Q2 Stadium, has been moved one hour later and is now scheduled for 8:30 p.m. CT due to forecasted high temperatures in Austin, Texas.

Saturday’s match will be free to watch on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV in English and Spanish. In addition, local radio coverage will air in Kansas City on Sports Radio 810 WHB and La Grande 1340 AM with streams available in the Sporting KC app. All of the action will also be shown by pub partners in the Sporting Pub Network, including an enhanced watch party at The Brooksider Sportsbar and Grill (6330 Brookside Plaza).

Sporting Kansas City earned a 4-1 victory over Austin FC on June 10 as Mexican striker Alan Pulido provided two goals and an assist. Austin FC are unbeaten since with a 3-0-1 record and the club is led by a pair of Sporting Legends with head coach Josh Wolff, who played seven seasons in Kansas City, and assistant coach Davy Arnaud, who played 10 seasons in Kansas City, on the technical staff.

Sporting Kansas City sits four points back of Austin FC in the Western Conference table and both clubs will be in action tonight on MLS Matchday 25. Sporting hosts Real Salt Lake at 7:30 p.m. CT tonight at Children’s Mercy Park and tickets are available online at SeatGeek, including the Bud Light Easy to Enjoy Pack and the Sporting U Pass.
