Sporting KC midfielder Lawrence Olum has been one of the most consistent players for the club in 2013. The Kenyan midfielder has done yeoman's work in place of injured midfielder Paulo Nagamura, and even filled in at center back at one point during the 2013 season.

But the man known inside the locker room as LO, saved his best game for last, tallying an assist and the game-winning goal in Sporting KC's 2-1 win over the Philadelphia Union in Saturday's regular season finale.
And the national media took notice as Olum was named to his first MLS Team of the Week.
According to MLS: The regular season-closing 2-1 win at Philadelphia was, if not his best, then certainly his most memorable game in a Sporting KC Jersey. Set up Graham Zusi's opener before snatching a stoppage-time winner to add to solid defensive showing.
Olum won five of his six aerial duels and led Sporting KC with five interceptions during the match. Olum was also recognized along with Sporting KC center back Matt Besler on SI.com's Team of the Week.
Sporting KC begins their 2013 MLS Cup playoffs run, presented by Ivy Funds, on Saturday when they travel to Gillette Stadium to take on the New England Revolution.
