Major League Soccer announces 55 players invited to 2015 adidas MLS Player Combine

Major League Soccer announced today the 55 players invited to the 2015 adidas MLS Player Combine. The combine will take place in Fort Lauderdale, Florida from Jan. 8-13. All players at the combine will be eligible for selection in the 2015 MLS SuperDraft, which will take place on January 15 in Philadelphia.

Sporting Kansas City has four of the first 30 picks in the upcoming SuperDraft including three first round selections. Sporting KC's first round picks are currently No. 10, No. 12 and No. 20. The 10th and 20th picks were acquired in trades with the Philadelphia Union and New England Revolution, respectively.

Sporting KC's three first round selections are the most for a club since 2008. That year, Technical Director Peter Vermes drafted Chance Myers with the No. 1 overall pick and Roger Espinoza with the No. 11 overall selection.

The MLS Player Combine list includes University of Notre Dame midfielder Nick Besler, brother of current Sporting KC captain Matt Besler. The Overland Park, Kansas product is a two-time All-ACC First Team selection and captained the Fighting Irish to the 2014 ACC regular-season championship.
